Brilliant hat-trick of victory in Haryana, understand from these 4 points what the election results mean for BJP.

New Delhi: BJP has created a new record by registering victory in Haryana. For the first time, a party has formed the government for the third consecutive time. At the same time, BJP’s performance in Jammu and Kashmir was not as per its expectations. BJP has already won almost the same number of seats in Jammu region and in this election BJP did not do anything special. In 2014, when there were 37 seats in Jammu region, BJP had won 25 of them. Now 29 out of 43 seats have been won in Jammu region. Like before, this time also BJP’s account has not been opened in Kashmir region. What is the message for BJP in the results of Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir and what is its significance?

1. Local leadership is important

These results have once again shown that to win the assembly elections, central leadership alone is not enough but local leadership is also important. In Haryana, BJP contested the elections putting forward the face of CM Nayab Singh Saini. To avoid anti-incumbency, BJP removed former CM Manohar Lal Khattar and this formula of removing CM was successful in Haryana after Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Tripura, Karnataka. In Jammu and Kashmir, BJP does not have any local leadership on whose face BJP can contest the elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah were the poster boys in the elections there.

2. Don’t give up until you get results

The results of Haryana have proved that even a lost game can be won with the right strategy and booth management. BJP did the same in Haryana. Focus remained on booth management. The party energized the workers who were disappointed. The confidence of BJP workers has increased due to the results of Haryana. Elections for Maharashtra and Jharkhand will be announced soon. The positive effect of Haryana’s victory will be visible in the election campaigns of these two states. Then next year there are assembly elections in Delhi and BJP can take advantage of the victory in the neighboring state to create an atmosphere in Delhi also.

3. If the workers are angry then convince them

While in Haryana BJP moved ahead on the path of victory by energizing the workers, in Jammu and Kashmir the resentment of the workers weighed heavily on the BJP. Party workers in Jammu region were angry because the party gave importance to the people who came from other parties and ignored the workers who stood with the party from the beginning. At the same time, party workers were angry about some party leaders and candidates and they worked to defeat these party candidates. There was tremendous resentment against party leader and candidate Ravindra Raina from Nowshera seat of Jammu and Kashmir. She was also seen in the results.

4. Even though Article 370 was removed, Jammu and Kashmir has not changed.

BJP had focused its entire election in Jammu and Kashmir on the benefits gained after the removal of Article 370. BJP was continuously claiming that there has been tremendous development and peace in Jammu and Kashmir. But the results of Jammu and Kashmir showed that people did not accept it. Even now, BJP’s performance in Jammu and Kashmir is almost the same as it was 10 years ago. Also, BJP has been winning Hindu dominated seats in Jammu and the same thing happened now also. Where there is mixed population, BJP is still finding it difficult to win elections. BJP has not yet been able to win the trust and hearts of the Muslim population.
