Box Office: ‘Sarfira’ also got the flop tag, ‘Indian 2’ stuck in the middle, ‘Kill’ did wonders

While ‘Bad News’ has come as good news for Bollywood at the box office, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sarfira’ has been labelled a flop. It has been 10 days since the release of this film directed by Sudha Kongara and its condition is like a fluttering lamp, which is neither getting extinguished nor is it able to light up properly. There has been some improvement in the film’s earnings over the weekend, but now these things do not matter. On the other hand, Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’ is also in a bad condition. The momentum that this film showed in the first three days is proving to be ineffective in 10 days. Whereas Lakshya Lalwani and Raghav Juyal’s ‘Kill’ has slowly found its ground. Akshay Kumar’s career graph has been falling continuously for the last three years. The situation is such that after ‘Sooryavanshi’ released in 2021, 9 of his/her films have been released in theatres. Of these, except ‘OMG 2’, his/her other 8 films have flopped badly. It is sad that while the actor’s work in ‘Sarfira’ was highly praised, despite this the film has proved to be a disaster. ‘Sarfira’ is made in a budget of 100 crores

Suriya’s film ‘Soorarai Pottru’ remake ‘Sarfira’ also stars Akshay Kumar and Radhika Madan. The film was earning millions since the release of ‘Bad News’ last Friday. However, it earned Rs 1.25 crore on Sunday. But now its earnings are going to fall further from Monday, the 11th day. ‘Sarfira’ has a budget of Rs 100 crore. However, as things stand, the film does not seem to earn more than Rs 30-32 crore in its lifetime.

‘Indian 2’ has earned only 75.48 crores in 10 days

On the other hand, Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’ which released along with ‘Sarfira’ is also looking weak. This film earned a whopping 59 crores in the first weekend. But now even after 10 days, its earnings are just 75.48 crores. Despite being released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, this film is still struggling to enter the 100 crore club. On Sunday, on the 10th day, it has earned 2.00 crores.

‘Bad News’ and ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ have taken charge

The new release ‘Bad News’ is currently earning the best at the box office. It has earned Rs 29.70 crore in the first weekend. While ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is still at its best even after 25 days. While this film of Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan has earned Rs 616.85 crore in the country, the worldwide gross collection has crossed 1000 crore. On Sunday, the 25th day, this scientific fiction film has done a business of 8.40 crore. Next, ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ is also releasing on 26 July.
