Box Office: Kalki gave tough competition to ‘Bad News’ on the 39th day, ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ made dangerous earnings

‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ has entered its second week at the box office with some great figures. The film has earned well on its second Friday as well. At the same time, this Hollywood film has got a tough competition from two films already running in theatres. Vicky Kaushal and Tripti Dimri’s ‘Bad News’ also earned well at the box office over the weekend. Along with this, ‘Kalki’ is overshadowing all the films. On the ninth day of release, ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ has earned Rs 7.25 crore, which is more than the total earnings of this week’s two new Bollywood releases ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ and ‘Uljh’. According to the report of trade website Sacnilk, after 9 days at the box office, it has reached a collection of Rs 101.40 crore.

‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ Collection

Marvel’s 34th film continued its magical performance in the Indian market and has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark. It has managed to cross the Rs 100 crore mark after its second Saturday collection in India. The film’s second week collection is expected to be between Rs 25-30 crore. ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ has already emerged as Hollywood’s biggest A-rated entertainer in India. Barring ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, it is also Marvel’s most successful film in a long time, after the dull run of ‘Avengers: Endgame’.

‘Bad News’ Box Office

On the other hand, Tripti Dimri and Vicky Kaushal’s film ‘Bad News’ is also working its magic. Their film ‘Bad News’ has now joined the 100 crore club. The film has now crossed the 100 crore mark in just two weeks, earning a magnificent 102.77 crore worldwide. The film collected around 1 crore on Saturday and its total earnings in India have now reached 58.53 crores.

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has completed five weeks at the box office with a victory. Despite heavy competition at the ticket window, the Prabhas and Deepika Padukone film is earning almost a crore every day. It is in the last leg of its theatrical run but is only 19 crores away from becoming the fifth highest grossing Indian film worldwide. Will it be able to beat Pathan and achieve that milestone?

After 38 days, the Prabhas starrer has grossed around 637.99 crores in India. It has earned Rs 283.44 crores from overseas markets. ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has currently grossed 1041.53 crores at the worldwide box office. It earned Rs 1.35 crores on Saturday. When it comes to the top 10 highest-grossing Indian films at the worldwide box office, ‘Kalki’ is at the seventh spot. It is ahead of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ (915 crores), ‘Animal’ (910.72 crores) and ‘Secret Superstar’ (902.92 crores).
