New Delhi. England fast bowler James Anderson’s 21-year international cricket career ended on Friday (12 July 2024). Anderson played his/her farewell match against the Windies. A 3-match Test series is being played between England and the Windies. The first Test of the series was the last international match of Anderson’s career. he/she took 4 wickets in his/her last match. Anderson said goodbye to international cricket at the age of 41. he/she was given a guard of honour on the third day of the farewell match. Anderson’s entire family was present in the stadium in this match.

James Anderson, who started his/her Test career in 2003, took 704 wickets in 188 Test matches at an average of 26.45, which includes 32 5-wicket hauls. An era of Test history ended after Anderson’s retirement from international cricket. The world’s best batsmen were afraid of the pace duo of Jimmy and Stuart Broad. Broad said goodbye to international cricket in 2023 with 604 Test wickets, while Anderson said goodbye to Tests in 2024 with 704 wickets.
