Hyundai Motor is set to release its Creta facelift in Malaysia, which features a Tucson-inspired front fascia design. This update was previously launched in Indonesia and Thailand but has yet to be released in Brazil and the Indian market. Online and offline bookings have already begun in Malaysia for the Creta facelift, though no pricing information has been released yet. Hyundai Seame Darby Motors will offer the Creta in a sole Plus variant with a 1.5L MPi powertrain and the option of an IVT gearbox. The Malaysian-spec Creta will only have one engine option – a 1.5L NA MPi petrol engine which delivers 115 PS of power and 143.8 Nm of torque. In Malaysia, the Creta facelift comes with several features, including a 10.25” instrument screen, fabric seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, 8” touchscreen infotainment system, 6-speaker music system, push-button start, remote start, LED headlights, LED tail lights, LED DRLs, paddle shifters, auto climate control with rear AC vents, multiple drive modes, and reversing camera.
Safety features include 6 airbags, ABS, ESC, ISOFIX, hill assist, front and rear parking assistance, tilt and telescopic adjust steering. Additionally, ADAS features are available on the Creta facelift, which has many crash avoidance features. The Indonesian-spec Creta facelift received an impressive 5-star crash rating at the Asian NCAP, and some of these features may be available in the India-spec Creta facelift. The Creta facelift is expected to cost between Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 19 lakh and will compete with the Kia Seltos, which offers two petrol engines and one diesel engine.
