The Film City is spread over 230 acres along the Yamuna Expressway and now it is clear that this Film City, which comes under the purview of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority, will be operated by Boney Kapoor’s company for the next 99 years. These companies had given their respective presentations in June

Super Cassettes Industries Pvt Ltd (T-Series), Supersonic Technobuild Pvt Ltd (Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films LLP, and others), Bayview Projects LLP (Boney Kapoor, real estate company Bhutani Group and Noida Cyber Park), and 4 Lions Films Pvt Ltd (backed by filmmaker KC Bokadia and others) had given their presentation for the greenfield project to Uttar Pradesh government officials in June.

Maximum revenue sharing offer

This project is being developed on Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. Boney Kapoor-led company ‘Bayview Projects LLB’ emerged as the company that offered the highest revenue share to the state government and thus his/her company was selected as the developer for the greenfield project. Bids for this project were invited on September 30, 2023, with the deadline being January 5, 2024. In June, bids were invited for the third time for the development of Film City, as the previous two attempts had not been successful in attracting investors.
