Bomb threat… Flight from Mumbai to Frankfurt was diverted to Türkiye as soon as message was received

New Delhi : There is a bomb in the plane… This message was written on a tissue paper in the toilet of Vistara Boeing 787 flying from Mumbai to Frankfurt (UK 27) on Friday. After this, the plane was diverted to Erzurum Airport in Turkey for ‘security reasons’. After this, the plane (VT-TSQ) landed safely in Turkey. It will be thoroughly checked there.

Regarding the incident, Vistara said that their Flight 27, which was operating from Mumbai to Frankfurt on September 6, 2024, was diverted to Turkey due to a security concern. The company said that it was noted onboard by our crew. The plane has landed safely at Erzurum Airport. As per protocol, the relevant authorities were immediately alerted and we are fully cooperating with security agencies to complete the mandatory security checks. The aviation company said that at Vistara, the safety and security of our customers, crew and aircraft is our top priority.
