BJP has reserved these 6 ministries, TDP, JDU’s talks will not work here

New Delhi: The parliamentary party of the ruling NDA at the centre met in Delhi. In this meeting held in the Central Hall of Parliament House, Narendra Modi was elected the leader of the parliamentary party. After this, NDA leaders led by Narendra Modi reached Rashtrapati Bhavan and staked claim to form the government. It is believed that the swearing-in of the new government may take place on June 9. Amidst this political development, there is also a round of brainstorming on who will get which ministry in the new government. According to media reports, there are 6 such ministries in the new government which BJP would like to keep with itself. Ministries like Home, Defence and Finance are likely to remain with BJP. However, there is a strong demand for portfolios from TDP-JDU as well.

Who will get which ministry

The Election Commission is rapidly preparing the certificates of the new members of the 18th Lok Sabha and completing the rest of the process. The Election Commission will inform the President about this and after that the process of formation of the new government will proceed. There is talk of TDP demanding 4 ministries in the new government. JDU is also staking claim on three ministries. On the other hand, Chirag Paswan is demanding two ministerial posts. All the political parties included in the NDA have claimed the ministries. However, talks are going on between BJP stalwarts and NDA allies regarding the council of ministers and other posts.

BJP will not want to let go of these four ministries, how will it reach a deal with TDP-JDU on Modi 3.0 cabinet?

TDP-JDU made their demand

According to the information, TDP with 16 members can be given three cabinet posts and one minister of state level post. JDU, which won 12 seats, can get 2 cabinet and two minister of state level posts. Similarly, a decision can be taken regarding the ministerial posts for Shinde faction Shiv Sena with 7 members and LJP with 5 members. It is believed that BJP wants to keep the ministry of home, finance, defense, foreign ministry, road transport and railways with itself. There is a discussion about giving departments like Urban Development Ministry, Rural Development Ministry, Agriculture Ministry to TDP and JDU. Now it remains to be seen what these two parties, who emerged as kingmakers in this election, get?

What will PM Modi do on the division of departments?

There is also a discussion that there are possibilities of changing the names of many previous ministries or dividing them. Apart from this, TDP is also demanding the post of Lok Sabha Speaker, however, it is being said that BJP is not ready for this. It can give the post of Deputy Speaker in Lok Sabha to TDP. At present, sources are saying that appointing ministers and distributing departments is the prerogative of the PM. Therefore, the picture will be clear only after the oath.
