New Delhi: In view of the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana, the round of brainstorming and meetings is going on continuously in the BJP to discuss the names of the candidates. The meeting of the Central Election Committee of BJP is going to be held in Delhi on Sunday under the chairmanship of BJP National President JP Nadda and in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is being told that in this meeting of the Central Election Committee of BJP to be held on Sunday, the names of about 24 candidates from Jammu and Kashmir can be finalized. The names of the candidates of Haryana can also be discussed seat wise in the meeting, although the situation is not clear yet. Giving information about the meeting of the Central Election Committee of the party, Union Minister and Election In-charge of Jammu and Kashmir G. Kishan Reddy said that in the meeting to be held on Sunday, the names of the candidates for the seats going to polls in the first phase in Jammu and Kashmir will be decided.

Elections will be held in three phases in Jammu and Kashmir

Let us tell you that assembly elections are to be held in Jammu and Kashmir in three phases. In the first phase of voting in the state, elections are to be held on 24 seats on September 18. In the second phase, voting is to be held on 26 seats on September 25 and in the third phase on October 1, voting is to be held on 40 assembly seats. Responding to a question about alliance in Jammu and Kashmir, G. Kishan Reddy claimed that there is no talk with anyone. BJP will contest the elections alone in Jammu and Kashmir. Whatever seats the party decides to contest in Jammu and Kashmir, we will contest the elections with full strength and heart and soul.

BJP, which had earlier run a coalition government with Mehbooba Mufti’s party PDP in Jammu and Kashmir, is completely denying the question of alliance with PDP before or even after the elections this time. Responding to repeated questions asked by journalists about alliance with PDP, Jammu and Kashmir election in-charge G. Kishan Reddy said in strong words that this was before the removal of Article 370. Now the atmosphere has completely changed. In future (even after the elections) there will be no need to take PDP along.
