BJP and Congress … how much difference between the bank balance of both political parties? This information came out

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had cash and bank balance of Rs 7,113.80 crore by March 31, 2024, while the major opposition party Congress had an amount of Rs 857.15 crore. This information has been received from the data provided to the Election Commission. According to the data, BJP spent Rs 1,754.06 crore during the year 2023-24, which is 60 percent more than Rs 1,092 crore spent in 2022-23. In comparison, the Congress spent Rs 619.67 crore during 2023-24, while in 2022-23 it spent Rs 192.56 crore. The Lok Sabha elections were announced on 16 March 2024. According to the data provided to the Annual Audit Report to the Relations Commission, the BJP received a donation of Rs 1,685.69 crore through the election bond system during 2023-24, while its last year It was Rs 1294.15 crore. The ruling party also received another donation of Rs 2,042.75 crore during the year, while it received a donation of Rs 648.42 crore in 2022-23 last year.

According to the audit report given to the Commission, the Congress received a total amount of Rs 1,225.11 crore during 2023-24, including Rs 1129.67 crore received through donations, donations and contribution. It also includes Rs 828.36 crore received through electoral bonds during the year ended 31 March, 2024. The Supreme Court later banned the system of election bonds.

The last financial year BJP spent Rs 591 crore on advertisements, including Rs 434.84 crore in electronic media and Rs 115.62 crore in print. The ruling party spent Rs 174 crore on aircraft/helicopters during 2023-24, while in 2022-23 spent Rs 78.23 crore and gave financial assistance of Rs 191.06 crore to its candidates.

On the other hand, the Congress spent Rs 207.94 crore in electronic media during 2023-24 and Rs 43.73 crore on printed material. The opposition party spent Rs 62.65 crore on aircraft/helicopter during 2023-24 and gave financial assistance of Rs 238.55 crore to its candidates. he/she spent Rs 79.78 crore on social media during the year ended 31 March 2024.

The party in its audit report also said that it spent Rs 49.63 crore on India Jin Nyaya Yatra under the leadership of former party chief Rahul Gandhi during 2023-24, while in 2022-23 he/she should add India from Kanyakumari to Kashmir in 2022-23 71.84 crore rupees were spent on the journey.
