Big news on NEET! Education Minister admitted that there was a scam in NEET, said- ‘The government has taken it seriously’

Speaking to news agency ANI on Sunday, June 16, the Union Education Minister said that some irregularities have been found in the NEET exams. Pradhan said, ‘Some irregularities have been found at two places. I assure the students and parents that the government has taken this seriously.’

Education Minister Pradhan admitted that the National Testing Agency (NTA) needs significant reforms. The NTA is an autonomous body responsible for conducting competitive examinations across the country. he/she stressed, ‘If even the top officials of NTA are found guilty, they will not be spared. The government is concerned about this. No culprit will be spared, they will get the harshest punishment.’

NEET Paper Leak: Evidence found!

Allegations of NEET 2024 paper leak and other irregularities in the All India Examination have surfaced in states like Bihar, Gujarat. People of the solver gang are being caught. There are reports of dummy candidates being made to sit for 10 to 40 lakh rupees and NEET exam centers being managed. Petitions to cancel NEET Exam 2024 are still being filed in the Supreme Court. AISA and ABVP are also continuously protesting in this regard.

At the same time, after a lot of uproar, the Central Government and the National Testing Agency informed the Supreme Court that they have canceled the grace marks given to 1,563 candidates who appeared in the examination for admission to MBBS and other courses. These candidates now have the option of either taking the exam again or giving up the compensatory marks given to them for the loss of time.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) i.e. NEET was held on 5 May at 4,750 centers, in which about 24 lakh candidates appeared. The NEET result was initially said to be declared on June 14 by the NTA itself in its information bulletin. But NEET Result 2024 was declared on June 4, the day of the general election results, around 6 pm.
