Why Salil said that Gambhir is running the team

Talking to News18 Hindi, former selector and actor Salil Ankola further said that when he/she was a selector, the team’s reins from Rahul Dravid came directly to Gautam Gambhir, he/she was part of that process and he/she said directly that he/she would run the team in his/her own way. Gautam failed in the first three series but he/she did not give up. Salil further said that Gautam knows what he/she wants and he/she talks directly about him/her. Former selector and actor Salil Ankola, while talking to News18 Hindi, further said that Gautam is a very strong character and he/she gets his/her point, so I believe that the current team is the team of coach, not the captain.
