Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Thursday announced the cancellation of flights to Kabul. News agency ANI gave this information quoting Pakistani media. Earlier, the Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority (ACAA) had requested PIA and Kam Air Airlines to reduce the fare for Kabul-Islamabad flights at the rate before August 15.

The ACAA also warned airlines to suspend flights between Kabul and Islamabad if they failed to do so. PIA and Kam Air are some of the airlines operating flights to Afghanistan. According to Pakistani media, the PIA has taken this decision due to incidents of disruption in flight operations and lack of cooperation on the part of the Afghan government.
