Jaipur: Taking major action against criminals, Rajasthan Police has arrested 180 criminals in four districts of Bikaner range and recovered huge quantity of illegal weapons, live cartridges and narcotics from their possession. At the same time, 139 criminals were arrested in Udaipur district as well. The action was taken on the instructions of Additional Director General of Police (Crime) Dinesh MN. A team of 1,600 police officers and jawans from Bikaner, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh and Churu district police on Sunday morning raided the hideouts of more than 331 gangsters involved in organized crime and arrested Anandpal Singh, Rohit Godara, active gangster of Lawrence Vishnoi gang and Baba Rana gang. In this action, a large quantity of illegal drugs, weapons and vehicles were seized. Additional Director General of Police (Crime) Dinesh MN said that 180 miscreants, including active miscreants of notorious criminals Anandpal Singh, Rohit Godara and Lawrence Bishnoi gang, have been arrested in Bikaner range and 53 vehicles including illegal drugs, weapons have been seized. Bikaner Inspector General of Police Omprakash said that raids were conducted at 95 places in Bikaner, 75 in Sriganganagar, 116 in Hanumangarh and 45 in Churu. A total of 180 criminals wanted in various cases were arrested during this period. he/she said that during the raid 207 kg dota poppy, 480 kg opium, 54 gm smack, 500 gm poppy was also seized and a case under NDPS Act was registered. Besides these, 11 illegal firearms, 51 live cartridges, 22 guns, 1 air gun, one bullet proof jacket, one sword and two other edged weapons were recovered and a case was registered under the Arms Act. At the same time, 15 cartons IMFL, 257 quarters of country liquor and 53 vehicles were also seized.

History-sheeter Sukhdev Dhawal, who was in contact with Rohit Godara and Guthli gang, has also been arrested. Along with this, Hariom Ramavat, an associate of gangster Rohit Godara, has also been arrested.

They said he/she was wanted in several cases, including the murder of gangster Raju Thehat in Sikar in December last year. A pistol with four live cartridges has been recovered from Ramavat’s possession. Kuljeet Rana, an associate of Lawrence Bishnoi who runs his/her Baba Rana gang in Sriganganagar, and Ashish Bishnoi, a member of Lawrence’s gang, were also arrested. Udaipur Superintendent of Police Vikas Sharma said that similar action was also taken in Udaipur district where police arrested 139 history-sheeters and hardcore criminals by 100 teams of 12 police stations. he/she told that around 500 policemen were involved in the operation.
