Bhola beat Dasara on Sunday, Nani lost to Ajay Devgan even after mixing 5 languages

Telugu superstar Nani aka Naveen Babu’s film ‘Dasara’ has collected a worldwide gross of Rs 87 crore in the first weekend. It has become the second highest opening weekend grosser pan India film this year after Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’. However, since the opening day, the film has suffered huge losses at the box office. On Sunday, the film has collected a net collection of Rs 12.60 crore in all five languages. Interestingly, Ajay Devgan’s ‘Bhola’, which is trailing till now, has earned Rs 12.75 crore in Hindi version alone on Sunday. ‘Dasara’, directed by Shrikant Udela, has earned just Rs 2.46 crore in Hindi version in the extended weekend of four days. While the film has collected a net collection of Rs 57.65 crore in the first weekend at the Indian box office including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.

Earnings fell 45% compared to opening day

Dasara Box Office Collection: ‘Dasara’ collected Rs 23.20 crore on Thursday, March 30, the opening day. Out of this, the Telugu version had the highest collection of Rs 22.45 crore. The film’s earnings have fallen by 45% compared to this on Sunday. The film’s earnings started falling from Friday itself. On the second day of release, the film earned a total of Rs 9.75 crores across all languages. Its earning on Saturday stood at Rs 12.10 crore. According to the report of sacnilk, the film has collected a net collection of Rs 12.60 crore on Sunday. Out of this, Rs 11.51 crore has been earned in Telugu.

Dasara earned Rs 18.95 cr overseas

‘Dasara’ is Nani’s first pan India film. Looking at the genre and treatment of the film, it looked like ‘Pushpa’, but regrettably, it has not been able to show amazing like Allu Arjun’s film. The film has collected Rs 54.36 crore in Telugu, Rs 39 lakh in Tamil, Rs 10 lakh in Kannada, Rs 2.46 crore in Hindi and Rs 34 lakh in Malayalam in four days. The film’s gross collection at the Indian box office in the first weekend is Rs 68.05 crore. While in the overseas market, the film has grossed Rs 18.95 crore.

‘Dasara’ ticket prices reduced

Dasara ticket prices reduced

The budget of ‘Dasara’ is said to be Rs 65 crore. In this context, the film will definitely earn more than the budget in its first week. But the way the earnings have come down, it is shocking. Meanwhile, to woo the Hindi audience, the makers have reduced the ticket price for the Hindi version from Monday to Thursday to just Rs.112/-.

Sweat will be an excuse to earn 100 crores

The film also stars Keerthy Suresh, Shine Tom Chacko and Sai Kumar in pivotal roles along with Nani. ‘Dasara’ can further benefit from Monday evening onwards at the box office. The reason for this is the holiday of Mahavir Jayanti on Tuesday. However, the decreasing graph of the film’s earnings is definitely a matter of concern for the makers and Nani’s fans. The film will also have to work hard to reach the 100 crore club in the country.
