New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat has once again spoken in hints about the population of Hindus. Without naming Hindus, he/she expressed concern over the declining population of Hindus in India. Emphasizing the importance of family, he/she said that if the population growth rate of the society falls below 2.1 percent, then the society will not need to destroy anyone, it will itself be destroyed. Therefore, it is very important to have at least three children.
Addressing the ‘Kathle Kul Sammelan’ in Nagpur on Sunday, Bhagwat said, ‘Kutumba i.e. family is a part of the society and every family is its unit. Bhagwat may have given this hint in the context of Hindus, but the reality is that today, how difficult it can be for a common man, who is facing the brunt of inflation and unemployment, to have three children and raise them. Where a good amount of money is spent on the upbringing of just one child. Know how expensive it can be to raise a child in the country.

The number of elderly people is increasing in the South. he/she also said that the national fertility rate is 2.1. Whereas in the southern states it is 1.6 percent. The Andhra Pradesh government is also considering giving incentive amount to families having more than two children. The government is also preparing to make a law that only people with more than two children will be eligible to contest local body elections.
