Beware of drunk people on New Year, traffic police advisory, CP India Gate will be closed from 8 o’clock

Traffic restriction will start from 8 pm on 31st December

To manage the expected crowd and ensure safety on December 31, Delhi Traffic Police will enforce traffic restrictions from 8 pm on December 31. In such a situation, if you are going somewhere in your own car, then it is advised to follow all the rules of the road. Along with this, keep all the important documents of the vehicle with you and do not make the mistake of forgetting the driving license.

These roads around Connaught Place (CP) will remain closed

Connaught Place (CP) of Delhi is a place where you will see a good crowd during normal days. In such a situation, the number of people coming here on New Year increases four times. Therefore, to control the crowd, Delhi Traffic Police will not allow any vehicle to go towards Connaught Place from major roads including Mandi House Roundabout and Bengali Market Roundabout. Although vehicles without valid passes cannot reach the CP, parking will still be allowed at places around the area including Gol Dak Khana, near Mandi House and Kali Bari Marg and Pandit Pant Marg roads. However, parking spaces are limited and parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
