The Nepal Cricket Association said in a statement, ‘Despite taking the necessary initiatives, the US Embassy has expressed its inability to grant a visa to national player Lamichhane.’

Sandeep Lamichhane was arrested in 2022 on charges of raping an 18-year-old girl, after which the Nepal Cricket Association suspended him/her.
