Beef smugglers crossing Bangladesh border on Union Minister’s letterhead? Why is TMC MP Mahua Moitra making this claim?

New Delhi : Trinamool Congress MP has made a big allegation against the Union Minister. Mahua Moitra claims that Union Minister Shantanu Thakur is issuing letters on his/her letterhead to help smugglers cross the Bangladesh border with beef. Mahua Moitra has also shared a photo of the Union Minister’s letterhead on social media platform X. This letter has been issued to the Company Commander of 85 Battalion BSF.

Shantanu Thakur is the MP from Bangaon

The letterhead shared by Mahua is of Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shantanu Thakur. Thakur is an MP from Bangaon in West Bengal. The letterhead is in the form of a form. It contains the name of a person, his/her address, Aadhaar number, luggage and its weight written on it to the company commander of the 85th battalion of BSF. It asks for assistance from the competent authority and administrative unit in carrying the luggage of the person.

People are raising questions on social media

After Mahua Moitra shared the alleged letter of the Union Minister, people are raising many questions. A user @Sanjib__Haloai wrote that respected Home Minister, please take strict legal action against this Union Minister. If this does not happen then accept responsibility and apologize to the public in an open letter. At the same time, another user wrote that Union Minister… will a Hindu nation be created like this? A user @tnwatch1 also advised Mahua Moitra to cover the Aadhaar number of the person in the letterhead.
