‘Be careful against communicable diseases’

While giving directions in the meeting, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed said that under the Communicable Disease Campaign, Asha workers will prepare the list of patients with symptoms of various diseases. This work will have to be done very seriously. District Public Health Specialist Dr. Saurabh Saxena said that effective control of vector-borne diseases, communicable diseases and meningitis and their prompt and correct treatment are among the top priorities of the government. Like previous years, this year too, extensive campaigns are being carried out by adopting effective measures for the prevention of communicable diseases. District Malaria Officer Mukesh Johri said that the communicable disease control campaign will run from October 3 to 31 and the Dastak campaign will run from October 16 to October 31, 2023. During this time, Asha will reach door to door and prepare a list of fever patients, cough and cold patients, TB, leprosy patients, malnourished children and houses where mosquito larvae are found. It will also provide information about prevention and control of communicable diseases. According to doctors, in case of fever, go to the nearest health center immediately. Place a bandage of water on the head, hands and feet. In water and other liquids, consume more coconut water, shikanji, fresh fruit juices etc., wear light cotton clothes. Do not take unnecessary medicines without doctor’s advice. Never fall into the trap of Neem or Hakeem and take treatment only from a trained doctor.
