BCI Prohibited Law Colleges: Bar Council has banned admission in these 7 colleges, law students should check the list carefully

The Bar Council of India (BCI) has barred seven law colleges from admitting new students for the 2024-25 academic year. Four of these colleges are from Uttar Pradesh, two from Andhra Pradesh and one from Rajasthan. The BCI has said in its official notice, ‘These centers are not allowed to take admission in law degree till further orders.’
This action is a warning to students who want to study law. Students are advised to thoroughly check the recognition and facilities of any college before taking admission in it.

Although BCI has not disclosed the reasons for the ban, this step has been taken to maintain the standards of legal education and protect the interests of students. There are reports that shortage of teachers, poor infrastructure and other deficiencies have been found in these colleges. BCI has issued notices to these colleges and sought answers. BCI will take a final decision only after receiving the answers.
