New Delhi. Harry Brook has been banned from the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the next two years. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has informed the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). According to the new policy of the board, Brooke cannot participate in the auction for the next two years, as he/she refused to play at the time before the start of this IPL season.

A BCCI official has told the Indian Express that the official information has been sent by the BCCI to the ECB and Harry Brook that they have been banned for two years, as told to every player before registering the name for the IPL auction last year. This is a board policy and every player has to follow it. According to the new rule implemented by the IPL, any player who records his/her name in the auction and unavailable himself before the season starts after being selected, will be banned for 2 seasons from participating in the tournament and auction.

This is the second consecutive season when Harry Brook has decided to get out of the IPL. he/she said that he/she has to prepare for the commitments of his/her national team. he/she was bought by Delhi Capitals for 6.25 crores in the IPL auction 2025 in November. In the last auction too, he/she was bought by Delhi for Rs 4 crore.
