The discussion of the New National Education Policy is in full swing. The central government is very serious about this. The government is busy preparing for this. According to the National Education Policy i.e. NEP 2022, the National Curriculum has been prepared for classes 3 to 12. It is too late to publish it, this process will also be prepared soon. The NCF may come on or before the third anniversary (July 29) of NEP 2020. Teams of subject experts have been identified for all the classes. As soon as the NCF is announced, committees will be formed to prepare the books.

Explain that books on about 150 subjects will be published in school education from class 3 to 12. According to the NEP, the first books for classes 3, 6 and 9 will come out in the initial months of the academic session 2024-25. According to the report published in Dainik Bhaskar, the school education system is going to change in the country. This time school education has been kept in 4 stages. The first is the Foundation Stage, the second is the Preparatory Stage, the third is the Middle Stage and the fourth is the Secondary Stage. Let’s know about them in few words.

What is Foundation Stage

Children of 3 to 8 years will come in the foundation stage. The wonderful thing is that children of this age will not have to give any kind of examination like school children. Also, children of this age will not have to carry school bags. In Bal Vatika/Pre-School, children have to study with a magical box (53 types of toys will be there). Kindergarten has been opened in all the central schools. Play groups and nursery classes run in private schools, now the first 3 years in NEP will be taught in government schools. Children in the age group of 6 to 8 years who have done pre schooling will get admission in class 1. There will be only 2 books in it. Foundation level will be completed after second class.

preparatory stage

Children of 8 to 11 years will come in this stage. That’s why 3 brothers will be taught more maths. Education up to class 5 will be in mother tongue or local language. The first time the child will be assessed in class 3 and the second time in class 5.

middle stage

Children of 11 to 14 years of age will come in this category. Vocational exposure will be given to children up to class 8, but there will be no evaluation. In addition to language and science, basic studies of humanity, arts and social sciences will be done. There will be evaluation for the third time in class 8th. Meanwhile, there will be regular counseling of students and parents. There will be Vocational Education Assessment in class 9th.

secondary stage

Children of 14 to 18 years will come in this stage. Classes 9 to 12 will be taught through semester system. It may start from the next session. There will be 2 chances of board exams in a year. That is, there will be a total of 16-16 papers (courses) in 9th-10th and 11th-12th, that is, there will be 8 papers in 1 year.
