Bangladesh should ensure the safety of Hindus, India’s truth, know the whole matter

New Delhi: Uproar continues over attack on Hindus in Canadian temple. Now India has reacted strongly to the news of tension following inflammatory social media posts in Chittagong, Bangladesh. The Ministry of External Affairs has appealed to the Bangladesh government to take strict steps to ensure the safety of Hindus. India urged the government there to take action against extremist elements and ensure the safety of the country’s Hindu community.

Violence against Hindus in Bangladesh

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has strongly condemned the alleged attack on members of the Hindu community in Chittagong. he/she said the tension was a result of inflammatory posts on social media. Randhir Jaiswal said that the Bangladesh government should take action against such extremist elements. Along with this, he/she has appealed to ensure the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh, so that such incidents do not happen again.

MEA gave update on Chabahar project

On the Chabahar port project, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that J.P., Joint Secretary, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran in the Ministry of External Affairs. A delegation led by Singh visited Kabul on 4 and 5 November. During the visit, he/she held several meetings with Afghan ministers, including the acting Defense Minister. he/she also met former President Hamid Karzai. he/she also met the heads of UN agencies and several other senior ministers there.

Said this on relations with Afghanistan

The Foreign Ministry said that J.P. Singh discussed humanitarian assistance from India, as well as how the Chabahar port can be used for trade and export-import transactions on behalf of the business community in Afghanistan. Randhir Jaiswal said that providing humanitarian help to Afghanistan is an important part of our aid program. In recent times we have sent several shipments of humanitarian aid. We have long standing relations with Afghanistan. These relationships will continue to guide us.
