This auction was of a famous artwork. However, in the name of artwork, there was a banana taped to the wall. The duct-taped banana is Maurizio Cattelan’s artwork ‘Comedian’. Which was sold for US$5.2 million, the buyer gave $6.2 million i.e. Rs 52 crore as final payment. Who bought banana worth 52 crores

According to media reports, in this artwork a banana has been pasted with a tape. It is worth noting that the banana is not fake. This banana can be easily removed and another one can be planted in its place. Now when it comes to why it is so expensive, it has been created by the famous Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan, who has been named “Comedian”. This particular artwork has been purchased by crypto entrepreneur Justin Sun. Which is one of three versions of the artwork. The auction estimate for this art was US$1 to 1.5 million. But it reached US$5.2 million. And, the last one sold for $6.2 million.

Strange paintings worth Rs 1336 crore

Now if we talk about strange and expensive paintings, then there is a strange looking painting on the top. Looking at it, it seems as if paint has just been spread on the canvas. But, after knowing the price, you will start looking for specialties in it. In fact, this is one of Jackson Pallock’s finest artworks. Which was purchased in 2012 for Rs 1336 crores.

Onement VI should also be mentioned in the list of expensive paintings. It was created by Burnett Nauman in 1953. Nothing special can be seen in these paintings. Only a white line has been drawn through the blue color on the canvas. You will be stunned to know its price. In fact, in 2013, these paintings were bought during an auction in New York for about Rs 357 crore. Whereas if we look at Joan Miro’s painting Le Chan, a dog has been depicted in it which does not look like a dog from any angle. And, this painting was purchased for Rs 18 crore in 2018.
