Balochistan: BYC protests amid continued disappearance of people by Pakistani forces




Baloch Yakjehati Committee (BYC) on Wednesday organized another protest rally in Yakmach town of Chagai district of Balochistan to continue its campaign against the ongoing enforced disappearances by Pakistan Armed Forces.

The protest rally started from the high school and then moved towards CPEC Road. A large number of people participated in the protest, indicating a sense of unity among the protesters.

In a post on X, BYC said, “Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) organized a protest rally in Yak Maach as part of its ongoing campaign against the oppression of the Baloch people, the systemic Baloch genocide and enforced disappearances. Did. The rally started from the high school and went to CPEC Road, where many Yak Mach residents joined in solidarity.”

On Tuesday, a similar protest took place in Dalbandin, Balochistan, demanding the immediate release of the victims. Internet services were shut down during the demonstration and Pakistani armed forces used violence to quell the protests.

Baloch Yakjehati Committee further said, “Internet services were closed during the protest. Despite many obstacles, disturbances and challenges created by the state authorities, BYC will stand against oppression and continue its mission of exposing state atrocities.

Earlier, Baloch activist Mehrang Baloch urged the public to join the protest against enforced disappearances. In turn, a large number of residents joined the protests in Chagai District.

BYC has launched the protest under the theme “Breaking the Silence: Standing Against Enforced Disappearances”. The Committee continues to fight against torture and enforced disappearances in the state.

There is a fear-like situation in the state due to continuous disappearances and tactics by Pakistan Armed Forces. But Baloch people stand in solidarity against such steps taken by the forces.
