Baloch leader calls for unity and international support for liberation of Balochistan

Prominent Baloch leader and head of the Free Balochistan Movement (FBM) Harbyar Marri has called for the integration and liberation of Balochistan within Pakistan.

In a statement on social media platform X, Marri drew parallels between the partition of Balochistan and the historical unification of East and West Germany, urging the international community to support the struggle of the Baloch people.

Marri stressed that historically and culturally distinct Balochistan had been divided into east and west, and further fragmented into various administratively controlled regions.

he/she highlighted that just as the world had once supported the unification of Germany, it should now stand with the Baloch people in their demand for freedom and unification.

Murri said, “The Baloch people, just like the Germans, must be at the forefront of this struggle.” he/she urged the Baloch people to unite and work for their liberation, adding that a unified Baloch effort would naturally be followed by international support.

Marri also stressed that Balochistan rightfully belongs to the Baloch people and should not be ruled by outsiders, specifically mentioning the Persian and Punjabi communities.

This statement is an important call to action for the Baloch community, and it underscores the ongoing tensions in the region.

The Baloch people have long demanded greater autonomy and recognition, and Marri’s call for unity and international support could signal a new phase in their struggle.

The Free Balochistan Movement has been a vocal advocate for the independence of Balochistan. The region is rich in natural resources but is plagued by conflict and political unrest.

Marri’s latest appeal will appeal to Baloch nationalists and could draw international attention to their cause.
