Baloch activist raised the issue of forced disappearance of Baloch people in Pakistan, reported kidnapping of Baloch people


Raising the issue of forced disappearance in Pakistan, prominent Baloch activist Mehrang Baloch has said that five Baloch people have been forcibly abducted in Karachi. Celebrating Human Rights Day, he/she said that Baloch people are demanding the right to live and exist without any fear in their motherland.

he/she said that Miraj Shad, Doda Ilahi, Gamshad Baloch, Muzammil and Ismail have forcibly kidnapped. he/she noted that Doda Ilahi and Gamshad Baloch, who were earlier kidnapped and were forced to leave their studies after their release had resumed their education, have been kidnapped again.

In a post on X, Mehrang Baloch said, “What could be more devastating to a nation than the daily disappearance of its students? Miraj Shad, Doda Ilahi, Gamshad Baloch, Muzammil and Ismail have been kidnapped in Karachi. Doda Ilahi and Gamshad Baloch, who were earlier kidnapped and were forced to leave their studies after their release, had recently resumed their education but have been kidnapped again.

“Meanwhile, three brothers-Irshad, Murid and Mehboob Baloch were forcibly disappeared from Mungochar, Kalat. his/her family members are protesting by blocking the main RCD highway demanding his/her release. On this Human Rights Day, the Baloch people are not only demanding justice, but they are also demanding the right to live and exist without fear in their homeland from a state that has deprived them of their humanity “

The students were detained at around 1am (local time) on Monday from the Hasan Square area of ​​Karachi and their whereabouts are unknown, The Balochistan Post reported.

The Balochistan Post quoted sources as saying that the students are from different parts of Balochistan. Doda Ilahi is from Balnegore in Kech, Gamshad is from Mand, Muzammil is from Pasni, and Mehraj is from Absar in Turbat. All four Baloch students were living in Karachi for studies.

In a separate incident, Ismail, a resident of Mand and relative of Gamshad Baloch, has also reportedly been forcibly disappeared from Karachi’s Hassan Square. According to reports, he/she is currently working and living in Dubai and as The Balochistan Post reports, he/she came to Pakistan a month ago for his/her mother’s treatment in Karachi.

This is not the first time that some Baloch students have been forcibly disappeared. Earlier on June 7, 2022, Doda Ilahi and Gamshad were forcibly taken away during a raid in Muskan Chowringhee area of ​​Karachi. Later, he/she was released on June 14, 2022, but has now been detained again.
