Safai Karamchari Recruitment 2024: Recruitment Cancelled

This recruitment was done to fill the vacant posts of Safai Karamchari in local bodies. Online applications for this started from March 4. To apply, candidates were required to have 1 year cleaning experience certificate from any recognized institute. The age limit was fixed from 18 to 40 years, in which provision of relaxation was made for reserved category candidates.

More than 9 lakh candidates from across the state had applied for this recruitment. This recruitment was issued by the previous Gehlot government in the state. However, the Valmiki community was continuously protesting demanding priority in the recruitment process.

When will the new notification come?

According to media reports, the Valmiki community was demanding priority in the recruitment of sanitation workers. Due to this protest, the state government has decided to cancel the recruitment process. However, in the official notification issued, the reason for cancelling the recruitment has been stated as “unavoidable reasons”.
