‘Bad News’ joined the 100 crore club on the 13th day, Kalki 2898 AD showed its strength again after 35 days

Vicky Kaushal, Tripti Dimri and Amy Virk’s film ‘Bad News’ has finally entered the worldwide 100 crore club. This film is facing ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ and ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ at the box office. However, the business of this film in the country has been average so far. On the other hand, Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Kalki 2898 AD is surprising with its strong hold even after a month of release. Although, the film has missed earning crores for the last two days, but it is still standing strong. ‘Bad News’, directed by Anand Tiwari, unfortunately could not continue the kind of start it had in theaters. According to the report of sacnilk, it has made a net collection of Rs 1.25 crore in the country on Wednesday. It had earned Rs 1.40 crore a day earlier. This romantic comedy film has grossed Rs 55.85 crore in India in 13 days. Thursday is the last day of the second week and it is expected to earn around Rs 57-58 crore in two weeks.

‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ and ‘Uljh’ are releasing on Friday

‘Bad News’ earned a brilliant amount of Rs 29.70 crore in the opening weekend. It was thought that it would do even better in the future, but in the first week it could earn only Rs 42.85 crore. While in the second week it seems to be earning more than Rs 14 crore. The problem is that Ajay Devgan-Tabu’s ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ and Janhvi Kapoor’s ‘Uljh’ are releasing on Friday. In such a situation, the number of screens of ‘Bad News’ is going to decrease. The total budget of the film is said to be Rs 80 crore (production + promotion). That means even if it takes a big leap in the weekend, it does not seem to be making much profit.

‘Bad News’ joins the Worldwide Rs 100 Crore Club

The only achievement for ‘Bad News’ so far can be considered that it has grossed Rs 100 crore worldwide in 13 days. However, it will have to work hard to reach even Rs 75-80 crore lifetime in the country. Overall, it will be called an average film.

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ earned 95 lakh rupees on the 35th day as well

On the other hand, more than a month has passed since the release of Nag Ashwin’s directorial ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, but it still has potential. Due to ‘Deadpool 3’ and ‘Bad News’, the number of its screens decreased, but despite this, it continued to earn crores till two days ago. After Tuesday, on Wednesday also this film has made a net collection of Rs 95 lakh, which is a good figure for a one-month old film. This film has made a total collection of Rs 634.95 crore in the country.

Worldwide Collection of Kalki 2898 AD

‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has collected a worldwide gross of around Rs 1027 crore in 35 days. The budget of the film is Rs 600 crore and it has proved to be a superhit. However, it has lagged behind Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Jawaan’ in the list of highest grossing Indian films worldwide. In the future, this film is also going to face challenges from new releases at the box office. Therefore, the pace of earnings is expected to slow down further from next Monday.
