Bad news for Galaxy S21 FE fans! It’s useless to wait for the phone, Samsung’s secret plan revealed

The global chip shortage seems to have hit Samsung’s plans for the Galaxy S21 FE. Based on the new reports, the Galaxy S21 FE is not initially coming to all markets. The launch is said to be delayed from August to October and some of Samsung’s key markets are going to miss it. This comes after rumors of Samsung deciding to stop production of the S21 FE altogether.

The Galaxy S21 FE is now expected to hit the markets in October 2021 instead of August 2021. The smartphone will initially be available only in the US and European markets, with Samsung yet to confirm plans for other markets. Buyers from Japan and South Korea can totally miss out on the Galaxy S21 FE. There is nothing about the launch plan in India.

Galaxy S21 FE to be delayed in select locations
It is said that Samsung is launching its Galaxy S21 FE in the market to challenge the OnePlus 9 and iQOO 7 legends. A lot was revealed about this phone from previous leaks, including the chipset and design. Similar to the US version of the Galaxy S21, the S21 FE is expected to come with the Snapdragon 888 chipset and not Exynos.

It is also expected that the phone will share its display with the Galaxy S21 Plus, but all other elements have been reduced to save cost. Hence, unlike the metal and glass/plastic combo on the S21 series, the FE version may sport a plastic unibody design. However, it will be similar to the S21 with its raised camera hump.

Apart from the usual Black and White color variants, Samsung is also coming with Green and Purple color variants of the S21 FE. The phone is also expected to get support for 25W fast charging solution, which is one of the fastest you will find on a Samsung device. It remains to be seen whether this phone comes to India at some point in the future, given that Samsung faces a lot of competition here.

Recently, Samsung launched the 5G variant of the Galaxy S20 FE in India which uses the Snapdragon 865 chip. Starting at Rs 47,999, the S20 FE offers 5G wireless charging, 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED display and some decent cameras.
