Bad form yet Hardik is in World Cup team, Sunil Gavaskar’s statement on this

Mumbai The Indian team has been selected for the T20 World Cup to be hosted by America and West Indies Cricket Board. On Tuesday, April 30, chief selector Ajit Agarkar announced the 15-member team. Before the team selection, there was a lot of talk about all-rounder Hardik Pandya who was in poor form. The selection committee has expressed confidence and given him a chance.

Great Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar believes that there is no need to be too worried about Hardik Pandya’s form as a bowler before the T20 World Cup because he will be a different player while playing for the Indian team. Pandya has been retained as the vice-captain of the Indian team for the T20 World Cup, although his form for Mumbai Indians in the IPL has been very poor.

Gavaskar told Sports Today, “There is a difference between playing IPL and playing for the country. While playing for the country, every player is different and Hardik will also be different. He has had to deal with many issues in the IPL and he has handled it well. He will be in a completely different form when playing outside for India. He will enter with a positive mindset and contribute with both bat and ball.
