Baby John’s condition is like do or die, on Friday he/she earns half of Mufasa, this is not the ‘curse of Christmas’

Varun Dhawan’s ‘Baby John’ has been a spectacular failure at the box office. On Friday, the third day of its release on Christmas, it has lagged behind 8 days old ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’. However, despite being a holiday release on the opening day, ‘Baby John’ did not perform well. But being a mass action film, expectations were still high. After the second day, the earnings again declined by -23% on the third day. Looking at the condition of the film, it seems that the ‘curse’ of Christmas on Bollywood for the last six years has not ended this time either. In fact, the occasion of Christmas has not been good for Bollywood for the last six years. It was expected that things would change with ‘Baby John’ directed by Kalisz. But this did not happen. This curse started in the year 2018 with Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Zero’. The film was a flop. Since then, films like ‘Dabangg 3′, ’83’, ‘Circus’ and ‘Dinky’ released on Christmas could not leave much impact at the box office.

‘Baby John’ collection day 3

According to the report of sacnilk, ‘Baby John’, made with a budget of Rs 185 crore, has collected a net of only Rs 3.65 crore on the third day on Friday. A day earlier it had earned Rs 4.75 crore. Whereas Rs 11.25 crore was earned on the opening day. In this way, in three days this film has been able to collect a net collection of only Rs 19.65 crore in the country. The audience occupancy of the film on Friday was also only 11.45%.

‘Mufasa’ box office collection day 8

On the other hand, Walty Disney’s Hollywood animation ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ has collected a nett of Rs 6.60 crore in India on the 8th day of its release. This film has also made a strong hold in the blockbuster storm of ‘Pushpa 2’ and has earned a total of Rs 80.85 crore at the Indian box office.

The earnings of ‘Pushpa 2’ also fell on Friday, the 23rd.

However, after Christmas, the effect of New Year’s Eve is now visible in theatres. The changing weather patterns in Delhi-NCR have also affected the earnings of films. Even Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’ has earned less than Rs 10 crore for the first time on Friday. On the 23rd day of its release, ‘Pushpa 2- The Rule’ has collected a net collection of Rs 8.75 crore in the country. Its total net collection is now Rs 1128.85 crore.

Pushpa 2 Box Office: By the end of the year, the earnings of ‘Pushpa 2’ suddenly slipped, lowest Friday collection in 23 days.

‘Baby John’ is a big blow for Atlee

The condition of ‘Baby John’ in theaters is also a big blow for filmmaker Atlee. This film has been made under his/her own banner. Atlee, the director of ‘Jawaan’, is counted among the most successful and profitable filmmakers. But the ‘curse of Christmas’ has not spared them either. As things stand, ‘Baby John’ does not seem to be earning more than Rs 80-85 crore in its lifetime.

‘Alpha’ is coming on Christmas next year

After the year 2024, Bollywood now has high expectations from 2025. Next year, while Salman Khan is bringing ‘Sikander’ on Eid, at the end of the year, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh’s ‘Alpha’ will also be released on Christmas. It is a female action-drama film from YRF’s spy universe. Now it will be interesting to see whether the pair of Alia and Sharvari will be able to end this ‘curse of Christmas’ of Bollywood!
