Babar-Shan Masood’s innings went in vain, Pakistan suffered a shameful defeat, South Africa defeated 2-0.

New Delhi. South Africa registered a spectacular victory over Pakistan in the second and final Test of the Test series and made a clean sweep of 2-0. World Test Championship finalists South Africa won by 10 wickets at Newlands, Cape Town. Pakistan had given a target of 58 runs to South Africa after the second innings. Which the Proteas team achieved easily.

Aiden Markram and David Bedingham gave the host team victory in just 7.1 overs late on the fourth day of the Test. Temba Bavuma has also maintained his/her unbeaten record as he/she has not lost any test as captain so far. Temba Bavuma has led the Proteas in nine Tests so far and has eight wins and one draw to his/her name. South Africa will face Australia in the World Test Championship in the month of June.

South Africa had given follow-on to Pakistan in the third day’s play. Pakistan had scored 194 runs in the first innings and 498 runs in the second innings. In the second innings, captain Shan Masood played a brilliant century while Babar Azam scored 81 runs. In the second innings for South Africa, Kagiso Rabada took 3 wickets, Marco Yansen took 2 wickets and Keshav Maharaj took 3 wickets.

Who will Pakistan’s next match be played against?
After South Africa, Pakistan has to play against West Indies. Pakistan has to play a 2-match test series against West Indies from 16th January. West Indies has announced the team for this. But the Pakistan team is yet to be announced. After this, Pakistan has to play a match against New Zealand in the Pakistan Tri Nation Series.
