Babar Azam laid ‘egg’, Pakistan lost again, captain’s slow innings sank

New Delhi. Pakistan cricket team has faced another defeat. The team, which won the T20 series against Zimbabwe with great difficulty, got a disappointing start on the tour of South Africa. In the first match of the three-match series, the host team scored 183 runs for 9 wickets on the basis of stormy innings by David Miller and George Linde. Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan fought alone but only 172 runs were scored for 8 wickets and South Africa won the match by 11 runs.

Pakistan started its three-match T20 series against South Africa with a defeat. The bat of the team’s star batsman Babar Azam betrayed again. This batsman, who came to start the innings with captain Mohammad Rizwan, played 4 balls and returned without scoring any runs. Saim Ayub played a quick inning of 31 runs in 15 balls but lost his/her wicket. From here the pressure built on Pakistan and Rizwan kept struggling to score runs.

Captain Rizwan, who was playing like a tortoise, completed his/her fifty on 50 balls and then played his/her hand and scored 24 runs on the next 12 balls but he/she too remained on 74 runs. This inning of 5 fours and 3 sixes was not enough for Pakistan, but the South African bowlers did not give the lower order a chance to survive. Pakistan could reach only 172 runs for 8 wickets.

Babar flops, Rizwan moves like a tortoise
Former captain Babar Azam, who is going through poor form, could not even open his/her account. he/she knelt down after facing 4 balls. On the other hand, the slow batting of captain Mohammad Rizwan became the reason for the team’s defeat. After playing 19 balls in the powerplay, he/she scored only 15 runs. If the opener bats at such a snail’s pace in T20 cricket, then chasing the target becomes impossible.

George Linde dominates

This match was completely of Jordan Linde. While doing wonders in batting, he/she first scored 48 runs in just 24 balls with the help of 3 fours and 4 sixes and then also took 4 wickets. This bowler took 4 wickets giving just 21 runs in 4 overs. Because of this all-round performance, George was chosen player of the match.
