Ayushman Yojana for all senior citizens above 70 years of age, PM Modi will launch two big projects

New Delhi: In the coming month of October, two big projects of the Union Health Ministry are going to be launched, which also includes the U-WIN portal, which is ready to completely digitalize vaccination services. Recently, the Union Cabinet has decided to bring all the elderly people aged 70 years and above under the Ayushman scheme, the preparations for which have also been completed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch both these projects.

Union Health Minister JP Nadda, while giving information about the achievements of the ministry on the occasion of completion of 100 days of the third term of the Modi government, said that expanding the Ayushman scheme for the elderly is a huge task, which has been completed. At the same time, India conducted the world’s most successful vaccination campaign against the Covid epidemic through Co-WIN and now in the same way, there will be U-WIN for the vaccination of children, for which a successful pilot has been completed.

Every vaccination can be tracked

Union Minister JP Nadda said that this is Digital India, in which health is also not left behind. Vaccination services are being completely digitalized in the country. This portal has been created to keep a permanent digital record of vaccinations and medicines of pregnant women as well as children from birth to 17 years of age. About 11 vaccines are administered to a child till the age of 17. 3 vaccines are administered to the mother. 27 doses are required to protect the child from 12 diseases. U-WIN portal has been created to track all these, it will work in 11 regional languages.

There will also be an automatic SMS alert system in it, for example, if the child has to get two vaccines in the first month, then an SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number. Apart from this, anyone can get vaccinated anywhere in the country. There is also a facility of self-registration system. Asha workers will register, and they will also be able to register themselves. Vaccination certificate will be given on universal QR base. Five and a half crore people will be linked to this UVIN portal.

Ayushman Yojana for senior citizens of 70 years and above

Preparations have been completed to provide free health insurance benefits of up to Rs 5 lakh to all senior citizens aged 70 years and above under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY). This expanded scheme to be launched in October will benefit about six crore senior citizens from 4.5 crore families, irrespective of their socio-economic status. Currently, about 12.3 crore families are getting the benefit of the Ayushman Bharat scheme. This is the world’s largest government health insurance scheme. Senior citizens covered under this scheme will be given new special cards.

Drone service reach increased

The Health Minister said that the government has also started drone service. Drone services have been started in AIIMS, INI, Northeast institutes. Its purpose is to connect especially difficult areas. These drones are successful in delivering samples, medical supplies and bringing reports very quickly. AIIMS has been connected. Its range will be within a radius of 25 km. It will be within the range of 25 km of the institute. Trials and training have been completed. It is being operated in AIIMS BV Nagar, Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Patna, Bilaspur, Rae Bareli, Raipur, Gorakhpur, Puducherry and Imphal.

Similarly, Bhishma Cube has also been brought which is for emergency life saving clinic care in disaster management. This Bhishma Cube can perform 10-15 surgeries per day. When the Prime Minister visited Ukraine, he/she gave him/her 4 Bhishma Cubes. Now it has been deployed in 50 health institutions of the country, it is for disaster management. 200 emergency cases can be handled.
