Australian coach’s pride not broken, big decision on playing XI of second match

Perth. Australia suffered a shameful defeat in the first match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy against the Indian cricket team. The host team, which flopped badly against Team India, suffered its biggest Test defeat at home. Australia’s coach and selector Andrew McDonald made a big announcement regarding the playing eleven of the next match just a few hours after the defeat in the Perth Test. he/she said that no changes will be made in the team which lost to India by 295 runs. McDonald expressed concern about the fitness of all-rounder Mitchell Marsh.

McDonald said that his/her team will reach Adelaide before the scheduled time for the day-night test starting from December 6. By doing this the team will get more time to practice. he/she told cricket.com.au, “The same people who were in the change room for the Perth Test will be in Adelaide as well.” There is always consideration of making changes but the team is selected according to the circumstances.

Marsh, who has been struggling with fitness problems since the limited overs tour of England in September, bowled only 17 overs in the first Test and took three wickets. McDonald said, “I don’t think his/her performance in the first Test was unsatisfactory.” We have to keep an eye on his/her fitness.

Defending Marnus Labuschagne, who could only score runs at an average of 13.66 in the last ten Test innings, he/she said, “There is constant talk about the ups and downs in players’ careers. Bad periods come but he/she will return to form soon. We are confident in his/her ability. he/she is the player we need.

Despite the crushing defeat, he/she said that the morale of the team is strong. he/she said, “We have to take responsibility for this defeat.” Us coaches too. Despite this defeat, the morale of the team is high. Our strategy was right but it could not be implemented.
