Australia options to study: The Australian government has doubled student visa fees for international students. Earlier the student visa fee was 710 Australian dollars, which has now been increased to 1600 dollars. Student visa fees have been increased by 126%. The increase in fees is affecting those middle class Indian students who are thinking of going to Australia to study. Due to the increase in visa fees, studying has become more expensive for students.
Visa fees in Australia have increased at a time when the cost of living has increased across the world. The world’s best universities are present in Australia, due to which Indian students go to study here. But in the last few years, the number of Indian students in this country has been going up and down. Currently 1.18 lakh Indian students are studying in Australia. In 2023 this number was 1.26 lakh. One of the main reasons for the decline in the number of students is the increase in visa rejections, which is 24.3% for Indians.

In which countries should we study instead of Australia?

After the increase in student visa fees, it has become expensive for Indians to study in Australia. This is the reason why Indian students are now thinking of going to study in such countries, where at least the student visa fees are not high. The Indian government has said that it is going to raise the issue of increase in fees with the Australian government. However, ‘Plan-B’ has also been prepared for Indian students, because now such countries are being discussed where affordable education can be provided. Let us know about the countries included in ‘Plan-B’.

First of all, let us talk about the best countries for studies in the Asian continent. Two names are at the forefront in this, the first being Japan and the second being South Korea. Both these countries are known for their affordable tuition fees. Besides this, students are also given scholarships from the government here. Apart from this, the cost of living is also much less compared to other countries.

In Europe, Germany, France and Ireland are the best countries for Indian students. In Germany’s public universities, students are not required to pay tuition fees. Similarly, even in France the fees are quite low. Also, France has planned to give 30 thousand Indian students a chance to study here by 2030. Ireland is gradually becoming popular among Indians because quality education is available here at affordable prices.
