While chasing, Australia team could not play even 20 overs and got all out in 19.2 overs. After the match, Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan said that this is a big victory for his/her team.

Rashid Khan said, “This is a big win for us as a team and a country. It feels great. This is something we missed in the last two years. I am really happy with the win and very proud of the players. It is very important for us that we come back with the same playing XI. We are understanding the opposition bowling lineup and selecting the XI accordingly. A score of 140 was good on this wicket. We could not perform as well as we should have. The opening partnership gave us a great start.”

Talking about the match, Afghanistan got a solid start with a century partnership between openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran. Both batsmen got out after scoring half-centuries. Thanks to Gurbaz’s 60 and Zadran’s 51 runs, the Afghan team put up a fighting score. While chasing for Australia, Glenn Maxwell scored the highest 59 runs. Apart from this, no batsman could even cross the 15-run mark. Australia’s team was all out at 127.
