August Holidays 2024: 7 holidays in the month of August, know on which day schools and offices will remain closed


Apart from the scheduled holidays in August, there are also many important days, such as awareness days, birth anniversaries of prominent personalities and other important events. These days are not traditional holidays but are celebrated in schools to explain their significance and educate students about them. Here is a list of them:

26 August – Mother Teresa’s Birth Anniversary – Birthday of the famous humanist and Nobel Prize winner.

29 August – National Sports Day – Hockey Legends Major Dhyan Chand’s Birth Anniversary And a day to promote sports.
