Struggling to pay 17 thousand fees

18-year-old Atul Kumar, resident of Titora village of Muzaffarnagar, fulfilled his/her dreams despite struggles. After clearing the JEE Advanced exam on May 26, 2024, Atul has secured admission into the prestigious IIT Dhanbad. Due to the financial condition of his/her family, paying the fees of Rs 17,500 on time was an extremely impossible task.

Senior suggested the path of court

Atul’s father is a daily wage labourer, he/she always tried to support his/her family, but despite all his/her efforts he/she could not raise the required amount before the deadline. The community came together and mobilized resources to support Atul, yet their efforts fell short.

his/her dreams of becoming an engineer remained unfulfilled and Atul reached the verge of despair. In such a situation, a senior at his/her coaching center suggested him/her an unconventional path: seeking help from the court. This advice proved important.

Supreme Court extended a helping hand

The Supreme Court recognized Atul’s hard work and extraordinary ability, and directed IIT Dhanbad to admit him/her into the electrical engineering course despite financial constraints.

On receiving this happy news, there was a wave of happiness in Atul’s family. Thanks to this historic decision, Atul is ready to begin his/her journey at IIT Dhanbad, proving that no problem is too big for a person when hard work is done.
