Attempts to derail trains across the country, why is the railway not able to catch the culprits

New Delhi : For some time now, trains are getting derailed in some places in the country or attempts are being made to derail trains by placing LPG cylinders, iron poles or other objects on the tracks. To prevent all such incidents, the Home Ministry, NIA, CBI and Railway Police are making plans together and making claims. Despite this, these incidents have not been stopped.

Why are trains being targeted?

On the night of 8 September in Kanpur district, LPG cylinders and bottles filled with petrol were placed on the tracks to derail the Kalindi Express. It seemed that there was a conspiracy to derail the train as well as set it on fire. But luckily, after the train collided with the cylinder, it did not explode and there was no loss of life or property. The investigation of this incident was still going on when on the late night of 18 September, between Bilaspur Road and Rudrapur City in Uttarakhand, an iron pillar of about six meters was placed on the railway track as a conspiracy to overturn the train.

When will the conspirators be caught?

On Wednesday itself, more than 25 coaches of a goods train derailed in Mathura area. Even after all these incidents, the railways still say that work is being done on a large scale in this matter. So that those who conspire to derail the trains will be caught. But sources say that in reality such work is not visible anywhere. So that RPF, GRP or any other agency has caught those who keep such big objects on the railway track.

What does the railway official have to say

A senior railway official said that it is true that such incidents have increased significantly in the last two months. But we are also making tireless efforts to stop them. In these efforts, patrolling has been increased to monitor all the railway tracks in the country. In this, along with increasing the patrolling of gangmen and keymen, RPF and GRP of the concerned states are also monitoring the railway lines.

What has come out in the investigation so far?

Sources say that the question is that when the surveillance of railway lines has been increased on a large scale across the country, then why are such incidents still happening. Why is not any accused being caught red-handed placing such a thing on the track in any such big case across the country? In the last 100 days, all such big cases of trying to derail trains have come to light. Could any big conspiracy be revealed in their investigation? Could the main accused be caught?
