Attack on Modi, attack on RSS, talk of reservation… did Rahul set the agenda from America or did he/she get trapped himself?

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is on a US tour. he/she fiercely targeted the BJP government from the US soil. he/she tried to corner Modi from RSS. he/she talked about reservation and Election Commission. Rahul made a statement on freedom of Sikh religion, to which BJP has reacted sharply. BJP called it an attempt by Rahul Gandhi to tarnish India’s image abroad. Apart from this, Rahul praised China while underestimating India. BJP has slammed the entire Congress including Rahul Gandhi for all these statements. Along with BJP, BSP chief Mayawati also targeted Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi tried to set the agenda in America, but is he/she himself trapped in it now?

Statement given regarding freedom of Sikh religion

The statement of Rahul Gandhi which has created the most controversy is related to Sikhism. In fact, the Leader of Opposition asked a Sikh man in America, ‘My turbaned brother, what is your name?’ The Congress leader said, ‘The fight is about whether a Sikh has the right to wear a turban or a bracelet in India or not. Or as a Sikh, he/she can go to the Gurudwara or not. The fight is about this and it is not just for him/her but for all religions.’

Statement was also given regarding ending the reservation

In response to a question on ending reservation, Rahul Gandhi said that Congress will think about ending reservation when the time is right, now is not the right time. When you look at the financial figures, tribals get 10 paise out of 100 rupees, Dalits get 5 rupees out of 100 rupees and OBCs also get almost the same amount. The reality is that they are not getting participation. Look at the list of every business leader of India. Show me the name of tribal, Dalit.

Underestimated India and praised China

Apart from this, Rahul Gandhi praised China while underestimating India during his/her US visit. he/she said, ‘On one hand, unemployment is becoming a serious problem in India. On the other hand, employment is increasing rapidly in countries like China and Vietnam. Unemployment is ending in these countries.’ he/she also expressed his/her views about Bangladesh and said, ‘Bangladesh has completely defeated us in the textile industry. No matter what problem is going on in that country, it has left us behind in the textile industry.’

Questions were also raised on the Election Commission

Apart from this, Rahul Gandhi questioned the Election Commission. he/she alleged that equal opportunities were not provided to everyone for the Lok Sabha elections. Rahul said that I do not consider it a free election. I consider it a largely controlled election. he/she said, ‘I do not think that if there were fair elections, BJP would have come anywhere near 240 seats. BJP had strong economic power. The Congress leader claimed that the Election Commission was doing what they wanted. The entire campaign was designed in such a way that Modi could run his/her agenda across the country.

Targeting RSS directly

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has alleged in Virginia, Washington that the RSS considers some religions, languages and communities inferior to others. he/she said, “RSS says that some states are inferior to other states. Some languages are inferior to other languages. Some religions are inferior to other religions. Some communities are inferior to other communities. This is what the fight is about.” he/she said that these issues reach the polling booth in Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. he/she said that the RSS’s ideology is that Tamil, Marathi, Bengali, Manipuri, all these are inferior languages. The fight is about this.

BJP calls Rahul a ‘black spot’ on democracy

Rahul Gandhi’s statements in America seem to be backfiring on Congress. Many parties including BJP are cornering Rahul Gandhi. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan attacked Rahul Gandhi over his/her statements in America and said that tarnishing the country’s image in this way on foreign soil is an anti-national act. BJP spokesperson called Rahul Gandhi a ‘black spot’ on Indian democracy. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia also accused Rahul Gandhi of trying to weaken Indian democracy with his/her comments abroad.

Mayawati expressed opposition to Rahul’s statements

BSP supremo Mayawati has taken a dig at Congress on the issue of reservation. Mayawati made several posts on social media platform X on Tuesday. Former CM Mayawati said, ‘While being in power for a long time at the Center, the Congress Party government did not implement OBC reservation, nor is this party, which conducted caste census in the country, now dreaming of coming to power under its guise. Beware of this drama of theirs, which will never be able to conduct caste census in the future. She said, people should beware of this fatal statement given by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, because as soon as this party comes to power at the Center, it will definitely end their reservation under the guise of this statement. These people must be cautious of this party pretending to save the Constitution and reservation. She further said that while, in reality, Congress has been anti-reservation from the very beginning. When their reservation quota was not fulfilled in their government at the Center, Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar resigned from the post of Law Minister due to not getting justice from this party. People should be careful.
