New Delhi. Chennai Super Kings has given a big responsibility to India’s experienced off-spinner R Ashwin. Ashwin has been given the command of CSK High Performance Center. Ashwin, who is playing for Rajasthan Royals in IPL, is currently a part of two teams. he/she is associated with Rajasthan as a player. At the same time, he/she will be seen in a different role with CSK. However, in the coming time, the way for Ashwin to return to the Chennai team has also been cleared. CSK CEO Kashi Vishwanathan told ‘PTI-Bhasha’ that Ashwin will take charge of the center as well as the team’s various academies in India and abroad. he/she said, “Ashwin is one of the greatest players of India and Tamil Nadu and his/her presence will give a big boost to the High Performance Center and our academies.

This center is located on the outskirts of Chennai. 37-year-old Ashwin recently became the second Indian bowler after Anil Kumble to take 500 wickets in Tests. he/she was a part of the CSK team in the Indian Premier League from 2009 to 2015. There is going to be a big auction for IPL this year and in such a situation, if Ashwin is a part of the bid, then CSK can try to add him/her to their team.

Ashwin is a member of the Rajasthan Royals team since IPL 2022. When asked about adding Ashwin to the team in the IPL auction, Vishwanath said, “Things are not in our control in the auction. We will see about it then.” When asked about the future of CSK’s charismatic player and former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Vishwanath said, “Only he/she can take a decision about this. We and his/her fans would like him/her to play but ultimately it will be his/her decision and we will respect it.” Dhoni handed over the responsibility of leading the team to Ruturaj Gaikwad at the beginning of last season.
