Ashwin prepared for Pune test with single wicket practice

New DelhiThe preparations of the Indian team for the second test are in full swing. One person in particular is sweating profusely on the field, whose name is R Ashwin. Ashwin was beaten badly in Bangalore and got only 1 wicket. It very rarely happens when India is playing a series on its home ground and Ashwin fails. But this happened in Bangalore and Team India lost the test. Now the challenge before Ashwin is to prove himself in Pune.

Earlier in 2019, Ashwin had got only 1 wicket in the home test match against Bangladesh. In that test match, Ashwin bowled only 5 overs because the fast bowlers dominated the field. But Ashwin also bowled a lot in Bangalore but he/she was disappointed. This was no less than a shock for Ashwin, who has taken five wickets in an innings 35 times in Test cricket.

Challenge to stop Rachin Ravindra

One thing is clear from the way Rachin Ravindra played Ashwin in Bangalore that even though Ashwin has dismissed more than 250 left-handed batsmen, it will not be easy for him/her in Pune. In Bangalore, Rachin played a total of 95 balls of spin bowlers and scored 101 runs, in which Ashwin scored 35 runs on 30 balls. Rachin has also become a challenge for Ashwin because he/she is using his/her footwork better. Rachin scored a total of 173 runs in Bangalore, of which 112 runs were scored on the front foot. Rachin scored 22 runs by coming out of the crease.

Ashwin needs confidence

The problem for a spin bowler increases when the batsman in front has amazing footwork along with playing sweep shots. In such a situation, the more Ashwin can stop the ball from spinning in the air, the more effective it will be. During the practice session today, Ashwin was seen practicing single wicket bowling for a long time, in which he/she kept working on giving flight and loop to the ball for a long time. This hard work of Ashwin also indicates that the challenge is big and his/her overcoming this challenge is equally important.
