Ashwin had already decided on retirement…know the inside story

New Delhi. Veteran cricketer R Ashwin has retired from international cricket. Ashwin announced his/her retirement after the end of India vs Australia third test match. However, he/she will continue to play in club cricket and IPL. Ashwin had decided to retire as soon as he/she reached Australia. After the end of the Gabba Test match, Ashwin came to the press conference with captain Rohit Sharma. During this, Rohit told that he/she had asked Ashwin not to retire till the pink ball test. Ashwin was not played in the first Test match of the series. he/she got a place in the playing eleven of Team India in the Pink Ball Test played in Adelaide but then he/she was not played in the Gabba Test. Ashwin’s cricket career has been brilliant.

Rohit Sharma told in the press conference after the end of the Gaba Test that he/she came to know about R Ashwin’s decision when he/she reached Perth. Indian captain Rohit had reached Perth after the start of the first Test. The first Test against Australia was played from 22 November while Rohit reached Perth on 24 November. Rohit said that Ashwin understands the plans and combination of the team. Therefore he/she announced his/her retirement from international cricket. According to Rohit, ‘I heard about Ashwin’s retirement after reaching Perth. When the first Test was played in Perth, I was not there for the first few days. Talks of retirement were already roaming in Ashwin’s mind. There will definitely be many things behind this.

After reaching Perth, I asked Ashwin to stay till the pink ball test.
Rohit said that Ashwin would be more capable of explaining his/her retirement. The Indian captain said that when we came here, we were not sure about which spinner would play. We just wanted to see in what conditions we would play. After reaching Perth, I spoke to Ashwin and somehow asked him/her to stay for the pink ball test match. And I convinced him/her for this. he/she felt that if he/she is not needed in the series right now then it would be better if he/she says goodbye to the game now.

India vs Australia 4th Test from 26th December
The fourth Test match of the series between India and Australia will be played in Melbourne from 26 December. This test match will be played from 5 am according to Indian time. The third Test match was being played from 5.20 am Indian time. In such a situation, you will have to lose your sleep to enjoy the Boxing Day Test. The 5-match Test series is currently tied at 1-1.
