On the occasion of World Theater Day, virtuous actress Ashutosh Rana came to the NBT office. Ashutosh, who has done 193 shows of our Ram in a year, had a special conversation with us on various aspects of his/her drama and theater.How did you get your first introduction to the theater?-The credit for this goes to my mother. I will have been around nine and a half years old. Then the mother said to me, do business of Anand, make Anand your profession. he/she said that when you make your passion a profession, then you will be able to get it. The mother explained that when you stand on the theater, it will help you to see the reflection inside you. This will help you find your passion. However, like other children, I also desired to become cricketers, doctors, engineers. I also wanted to go to the army. I also made constant efforts for all things. Gradually other activities ended. My cricket stopped playing, free from NCC, etc. Kabaddi stopped playing, but continued to act at the theater. I was in the last year of the university and my late Spiritual Guru told me that the son is now the time to convert your passion to the profession. I applied to the National School of Drama and I got selected in the first time. The journey of my acting proceeded from there.Have you ever thought that you will play the role of Ravana?- I am from the Gadarwara of Madhya Pradesh, which is from a small town, it is very conscious culturally and spiritually. There was also an audition for Ramlila and after being selected, he/she also had to take 4 months training. I have been very facilitated by Ravana's character since childhood. I used to think that so eccentric, divine, Ayurveda, scripture, everything tight in everything, Devadhidev Mahadev is torn, ascetic, Acharya and Acharya too. Even after this, Param Chaitanya is full of enmity towards Rama. This discrepancy of Ravana continued to attract me, but I did not have the age and mindset to do that big character, then he/she did not get that opportunity. We used to get opportunities to join demons or monkey army. Earlier there was no opportunity to speak any dialogue, but I used to remember the lines of all the characters. If an actor had needed promotion, I used to memorize me that dialogue. At that age of 15–16, I played characters like Angad, Meghnad, Akshay Kumar, Akshay Ravana. I also did the boat.In the theater, every artist usually has to go through the show Must Go on situation, have you also gone through such a situation?Recently, we were performing at NCPA (National Center for Performing Arts) and I was suffering from bad wars. I kept glucose for three days. My condition was bad, but I showed up in high fever and cough. It is 2016. I was shooting for the Telugu film in Hyderabad. It was 7 o'clock in the morning and I was ready with makeup that the news came, my father has died. Now a unit of 300 people was standing there for shooting. Although the director said that we pack up, but I felt that I would go to Mumbai, Bhopal or Jabalpur from Hyderabad and then reach Gadarwara, by then my father's body will have to wait for 24 hours. I felt that their funeral would be tomorrow, so it is better to shoot. During the shooting, you have to perform by keeping your emotional, sorrow and suffering. This is what I did.To what extent has you felt your transformation in your journey so far from Gadarwara's Ramlila?- My always effort was that you have to do the election whether you want to be an actress or be an artist, being a actress and an artist. For the performance, you need a repeatation and you have to break your structure again and again for artwork. I chose that I have to fall into the category of artist, not an actress. This is the reason that Ashutosh of the enemy should not appear in the struggle. There is a renunciation of self -respect, it should not be seen in enemy, struggle or Shabnam aunt. The characters of Simba, Son Chiraiya and Humpty Sharma's bride should be different from each other, so our efforts have always been that you should not see all these characters inside Ravana. Our drama has been going on for a year. Eighty percent of our shows are crowds between fourteen to forty -four years. Seeing a story, when you are elevated, it creates happiness somewhere in your life. The story, presentation, dialogue, screenplay, the story of our play, are exactly what you feel that if we change our life a little bit, we get the results. So what is this is that somewhere inside our Rama, you say that you say with the intensity of you. Our drama communicates, connects and also uplifts the viewer.Both you and your wife Renuka Shahane are enlightened artists, how does mutual coordination sit?-The good question is. We believe that marriage is not matter of change, it is matter of exchange. You are two enlightened people, the angles of two enlightened people will never be from one. But we believe that there is no evidence of the variation, vision or difference of creation. We do not believe in controversy. If your opinion is different in something, meaning the difference is off and opinion or opinion or oriented, then our basic belief is in dialogue. If you are an enlightened person, then your opinion can also be different, but the difference that happens should not be the cause of your mind.
