Improvement in relationships
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has described the ‘Dragon-Election Dance’ not only for the future of more than 2 billion 80 crore common population of both countries, but also plenty of the entire Global South and also for the whole world. Until just six months ago, such good statements of Chinese leaders could not be imagined about India. Reverse this, such a cordial statement for China itself will probably be seen only after a little more time for India at the official level. Despite many reasons for bitterness, the reason for such sweetness in relationships is that the two countries are seeing this only way to stand ahead of ‘Make America Great Again’.
Effect of BRICS talks
The summit of Narendra Modi and Xi Chinfing is coloring during the BRICS conference held in Kazan city of Russia in the last week of October 2024. In the conversation of Indian security advisor Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in December last December, it became clear with the restoration of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and Border Trade at the border that the relationship had begun to come on track. The road connecting this corridor to Tibet passes through Aksai Chin and China has also declared a plan to launch the Beijing-Lhasa railway line in Pakistan from 2017. Then the minor discounts on LAC in eastern Ladakh will also bother India a lot.
Trump’s force
However, it is a distant case and strategists can say that when France and Germany, who have almost destroyed each other in the Second World War, can become deep friends of each other, sometimes the triangle of India, Pakistan and China can move towards resolving their confusion. The nearby case is that Trump has imported from 10% to 20% import on Chinese goods and from April 2 he/she is going to make his/her taxation policy ‘reciperook’. This is forcibly, because Americans do less by selling goods from India, through their banks, insurance companies and other capital measures.
Correct policy on China
From the Doklam tension on the north-western border of Bhutan in 2017, China has understood from the recent deployment of troops in East Ladakh that India is more or less equal against its residence. Trade deficit with China is definitely a major problem for us, but intermediate goods from there also have a huge contribution in our exports. Emerging economies like India are to be tested in Trump-Raj. In such a situation, the policy of running from China will be good.
