Article: JEE Men’s disturbances, why students punished for NTA mistakes

New Delhi: One of the country’s most prestigious examinations, Jee Main’s 12 wrong questions came in session 1, many out of syllabus questions, mistakes of translation and wrong and impractical ways to rectify all such disturbances again in controversies to the exam agency NTA. La has been standing. All the recortes broken: Statistics from 2021 till now show that almost every year there have been wrong questions in JEE Main, but this time the examination broke all the previous records. This time the students faced 12 wrong questions. Such questions are called NTA dropped questions and for this there is a system under which in some cases all the students are given full numbers in some students who have attached it.

NTA’s mistake: But such rules do not completely end the possibility of injustice to those children, who put their precious ten to twelve minutes on such wrong questions and got entangled in it. There may be a possibility that an average child who attains the wrong question, takes four numbers or will be equal to the capable child who would have left that wrong question annoyed. In the exam where there is a huge difference in percentile from each number, there should be no place for such wrong questions. NTA cannot exhale them by calling them human or technical mistake.

Out of syllabus: Last year, NTA, who was in all controversies, had repeatedly assured that the exam would be clean but the questions are still arising. Carnot Cycle and Nuts Law of Cooling are topics that have been excluded from the syllabus of JEE Main. Nevertheless, questions were asked from these topics. As if it was not enough. Some experts say that even translations were seen in the paper.

Dummy schools arrangements: Both CBSE and the courts are in trouble that children preparing for JEE resort to dummy school. They do not go to school and put the remaining time in coaching and self study. Recently, CBSE launched a campaign against many such dummy schools in the country and issued notices. It is fine that the system of dummy school should be closed. But will any students take out JEE Main only by studying class XII from school and reading NCERT syllabus? Probably not. Everyone knows that many such topics are asked in JEE which are not in the syllabus of NCERT. With the discouragement of the dummy school and coaching system, should it not be adopted that JEE’s syllabus is in line with NCERT.

Shadow of controversies: This is not the first time NTA’s credibility is at stake. Last year, everyone saw how NTA’s lamp attitude was revealed about NEET-ig. No one knows how many capable of children suffered losses on the paper leak and students had to take to the streets and demonstrate. Another examination conducted by NTA, UGC-NET was also under the shadow of controversy. What did the agency responsible for all such flaws suffer? Only that its chairman was replaced.

Retak on credit:
Such such disturbances, chaos and lack of reliability have been discounted on the credibility of NTA. In such a situation, there is a need for extensive changes in the entire entrance exam system. At least in other countries, the Phulproof Entrance Examination system of NTA can be improved by closely studying the system. For this, if some laughable and unacceptable officers have to be sacrificed, then the government should not back down from it.

One mistake, number five: If a child misunderstood a question, then he/she has to wash his/her hand with four numbers, one of his/her points is further cut in the form of negative marking, that is, a mistake makes him/her back from the number five. NTA has made 12 mistakes, calculate how many numbers should be deducted. Why should not his/her actors be told that you are completely out of merit. Your percentile went very low. There is a demand for the action against those responsible for this and improvement in the entire exam system. After all, saving the credibility of such a big testing of the country which is necessary so that the trust of millions of students will be maintained in it.
