Article: China and America have made their own sides, which game is going on in the world right now?

Today the world is in a multilateral system, but even in this the emergence of two poles is clearly visible. On one side is America, on the other side is China. America has its old allies, while China has succeeded in keeping Russia and Iran on its side. Along with this, China has been successful in creating a military-economic alliance in the form of Shanghai Cooperation Organization and a strong economic platform in the form of BRICS. he/she is capable of challenging the world simultaneously economically and militarily.UN helpless
Therefore, today’s crisis is not only that countries like Israel and Russia are taking the world towards a big war, but the crisis is that institutions like the United Nations have become powerless. In true sense, today the status of the United Nations seems to be similar to that of the League of Nations between the two world wars. Therefore, if wars intensify, the end of peace will not be easily achieved.

In such a situation, nothing can be expected from an organization like UN. Then what should one expect? Whether from America, which has been making ‘small scale wars’ a strategic weapon to gain power, or from China, which on one hand is maintaining a warmongering environment in the Asia-Pacific region and on the other through its ‘Debt Trap Diplomacy’ Wanting to introduce a new kind of colonialism? This situation certainly does not indicate that the world is moving towards global peace. Now Donald Trump’s rule is about to begin in America. he/she will try to move towards America First, which may create new conflicts.

Syria’s truth
The collapse of the Assad regime in Syria is a reality. But could it also be true that it was demolished only by the rebels? Syria was ranked 60th among 145 countries in the 2024 list of ‘Global Fire Power Index’, an index that assesses the military capability of different countries. How can a person who has 3 lakh soldiers, more than 1500 tanks, more than 3000 armored vehicles, artillery, fighter planes with missile systems, helicopters and training planes surrender before a militia group within two weeks? To reach a conclusion one has to look at the timing. When Russia was going through its most challenging phase in Ukraine and the Israel-Iran conflict was moving from proxy to direct, it cannot be normal for the rebels to take over Syria.

The truth is that the war was being fought in Syria, but the fighters were from outside. America, Turkey and China-Russia were also among them. This should not stop here, it will go further. From this point of view, it will be important for Trump to reach the White House. America is hopeful that the Trump administration will lead the country towards a new era of prosperity and global dominance. However, it is not within the power of America alone to do this.

Europe in crisis
America’s achievements have depended more on its alliances, which now appear to be weakening. European countries were the leaders in this alliance, but today many of them are in the grip of economic and political crisis. At one time, France and Germany were aspiring to lead the European economy through ‘Merkozy’ (German Chancellor Merkel and French President Sarkozy) economics, but now this is a thing of history. Today the economies there are in the grip of recession. Due to this, an environment of political chaos has been created. Given the situation France and Germany are going through, it does not seem that they will be able to contribute significantly to the strengthening of NATO.

America’s Asian allies Japan and South Korea are also going through political crisis. In South Korea, President Yoon faced impeachment just days after the declaration of martial law, which also passed. This damaged Korea’s reputation. Now it is possible that the Left parties may form a government there. If this happens, it could have a negative impact on efforts to create a US-South Korea-Japan trilateral security architecture, which was initiated by President Joe Biden at Camp David in 2023. Japan is also going through political turmoil, which is sure to affect its economy.

Trump intends to build a wall with Mexico, while directly challenging Canada. Overall, the alliance which has provided geopolitical strength to America is now looking weak and inefficient. Without this alliance, neither Trump’s dream of ‘America First’ will be fulfilled nor will Europe’s economy roar again. But Trump has come to power with the promise of taking America towards a golden age, what will happen to him/her? It is possible that he/she may adopt some game theory for this. It remains to be seen how much space is given to wars in this theory.
